Journey from Quebec City to Baie-Saint-Paul
Quebec will be the very first jurisdiction in the Americas to operate a zero-emission passenger train powered by green hydrogen, demonstrating its leadership in the transition to a low-carbon economy and the establishment of ecosystems devoted to hydrogen.
Running this train with passengers on board will allow Alstom and its partners to better assess subsequent steps for the development of hydrogen propulsion technology and its penetration into the North American market.
This is a partnership between Alstom, the Government of Quebec, Réseau Charlevoix, Chemin de fer Charlevoix, Harnois Énergies and HTEC.
Alstom’s Coradia iLint train will transport travelers on our magnificent railway, between Parc de la Chute Montmorency and the city of Baie-St-Paul, along the St. Lawrence River.
Available from Wednesday to Saturday from June 17 to September 30, 2023.
